Peer and Community Engagement Coordinator- Full time 30 hours

The Western MA Training Consortium has a 30-hour position available serving as a Peer and Community Engagement Coordinator at The RECOVER Project in Greenfield, MA. The RECOVER Project, a well-established peer-to-peer recovery support program with a strong community presence. Be part of a dynamic team in realizing a vision of an inclusive recovery community designed to increase access to appropriate recovery supports for all people within our communities.

The RECOVER Project is looking for an individual who loves to interact with community and has the drive and curiosity to engage and inspire members in their process of self-discovery. The Peer and Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for establishing positive and sustainable relationships with community organizations and resources, seeking to remove the walls of our recovery center and build bridges into communities that may have been isolated in order to increase access to appropriate recovery supports for all who seek them. The Coordinator will provide community education about the RECOVER Project, its peer-to-peer participatory process, core values, and mission, develop a team of community based peer recovery advocates, and maintain a social media and web presence. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining safe space for all RECOVER Project members, supporting peer-to-peer relationships, working with the RECOVER Project team to support all aspects of membership, including program planning and data management, enhancing membership opportunities and recovery supports.

Qualifications include: close familiarity with the local recovery community, lived experience with recovery from substance use disorder and experience in outreach and community building. Bachelor’s degree suggested, but relevant field experience may be substituted for some education. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation needed.
